Learn about Samuel Ellis, the island’s namesake, who once operated a tavern for fishermen during the American Revolution. Explore the iconic Great Hall with its stunning tiled ceiling, ride the vintage Otis elevator, and discover the stories of millions who passed through its doors in search of a new life.
